Listen…check out what matters.
Why would you study with someone without hearing how they play?
We believe that you should listen to your prospective drum instructor before you decide to take a lesson. What if you don’t like the way they play? Would you want to study with someone if you didn’t like their playing? Of course not. That’s why we want you to be able to listen to every BANG! drum instructor if you want to. It’s kind of like the drum teacher version of “Try Before You Buy.” So, without further aideu, why don’t you…
LISTEN to Mark Feldman!
The One Step
The MF3 was Mark’s jazz trio that was active primarily in 2010 and 2011. This track features Kerong Chok on piano and Desmond White on bass and was recorded by Peter Karl in his Brooklyn studio in the spring of 2010. “The One Step” is one of Mark’s favorite Chick Corea tracks; the original recording features one of Mark’s heroes, Steve Gadd. At around 4:26 on The MF3 version, the band doubles the original tempo to really push things along….
L.E.S. Artistes
MANCIE is a Brooklyn based rock band that Mark has been drumming with since 2009. This track, a cover of Santigold’s hit, is from the 2010 MANCIE release, “The Say Say EP.”
Fainting in Coils
IT FACTOR was a great but short lived fusion band Mark played in. This track is in the fusion/prog arena…a cover of the Bill Bruford classic tune. Ridiculously hard to play, there are plenty of odd times and Mark solos over a vamp in 9/8 at the end of the tune.
Wabash (Live Recording)
Some funk.
Modern Dummer Solo
The very first MD drum solo contest…here’s what Neil Peart picked as a winner.
Raging On The Snare
Snare Drum Solo (Live Recording): Just one reason why we like technique….Mark just kickn’ it on a snare drum. One guy, two sticks, one snare drum!!!
Look At Me Now (Live Recording)
MANCIE (Live at Arlene’s Grocery, NYC) Mark drumming with MANCIE, featuring Andrea Montgomery on guitar/vox and Jake Adams on bass. Heavy Rock, with a nasty drum solo at the end.
