In one of LEVEL5’s tunes, “Opus One,” there is a drum break section. You can check it out in the video below. Just in case you find any of the ideas I play in the video appealing, I’ve transcribed the drum breaks for you.
First, here’s the video:
Now here’s the PDF with the transcriptions: LEVEL5 Opus One Drum Solo PDF
Have at it!

Mark, could you explain, please, what is noticed in Chart section of Transcription PDf file?
I suppose, there is groove, that you play between breaks, but I can’t heard it on video.
Hi Den –
Thanks for writing. The rhythms that are written in the “chart” section above the transcriptions of the drum breaks are the accents that are emphasized within the groove that I play between the breaks. If you count those rhythms out while checking out the video, you’ll hear that the band is playing those accents on those notes…..the groove I play there just pulls that stuff all together…. The “chart” section on the PDF is meant to be written the way an actual drum chart might be presented…..
Hope this helps!

Yeah, now I understand!
Cool idea of building of this drum solo section and transcribing it in this way.
Thank you!
