Here’s Nasty Lick 116, an offshoot of a classic that many of you probably already know: RLRLFF.
I don’t know why I never thought of putting two bass drum notes before RLRLFF before now, but I wish I had, because it’s a pretty cool sounding lick. As usual, I’ve given you a bunch of ideas on how to use it and I want you to think about your own ideas too. Undoubtedly there are many more ways to play this other than what I’ve given you on the PDF.
By the way, the PDF, so you can take it into your practice room, is here: Nasty Lick 116
There’s no video for this one–yet. But there will be. In the meantime, see what you can do with just the notation on the PDF. It should be more than enough to get you started.
PS – Imagine that you could regularly get these Nasty Licks delivered to your email inbox every time we post one. Great drumming vocabulary to raise your drumming level–free. Go do it–just type your email addy into the form below, and click that button.
