Jiro Dreams of Sushi : Why Every Musician and Artist Must See It.

Last week my girlfriend rented “Jiro Dreams of Sushi,” and although I only reluctantly agreed to watch it, my attention and imagination were immediately captured by this great film. Now, it is probably my favorite documentary ever. This is an important movie with a profound message. Every musician needs to see it. Actually, every artist needs to see it. Watch the trailer and you’ll understand why.

The trailer hints at it. But the film really hits home on the idea that greatness comes from lifelong dedication. In the film, Jiro is 85 and he is still striving to get better. He dreams about his craft. This is what true mastery is about. Dreams, love, commitment and steady repeated action. The work happens day after day, month after month, year after year. True greatness comes from that work. The love and passion will fuel the action.

Do you have that kind of dedication?
