The BANG! teacher is patient, knowledgeable, gentle, encouraging, enthusiastic, energetic and outgoing. He or she is an experienced player and teacher. BANG! teachers are also highly organized and responsible, honest and trustworthy and love drumming beyond almost all else.
Does this sound like you? If so, you might consider contacting us about teaching.
If you do not have a flexible schedule, this is not for you. The successful teaching candidate, in addition to the qualities listed above, has the ability to work weekdays and weekends (Saturdays and Sundays are important teaching days at our studios).
You must be a top-notch drummer (show us video), and you must have significant teaching experience with both adults and children. You must be comfortable teaching both beginning and advanced students, as we have both.
If you are interested in teaching at BANG! The Drum School, email us your resume and a cover letter as separate PDF files. Please make sure your resume is in the chronological style with dates included. Resumes must include a very detailed work history and all of your education details. Your cover letter must be in the formal business letter format and include links to video and audio so we can see/hear you play. Include a link to your website as well.
These two PDF’s and the links are our only way to initially evaluate you. The good thing about the PDF format is that you can be certain that the documents you present will actually look the way you want them to when they are opened. Please take advantage of this. Make sure to follow the above instructions about submissions to the letter.
Email the PDFs to firstname.lastname@example.org and put “teaching application” in the subject line.
No phone calls please.
Good Luck! We look forward to hearing from you.
