We are currently fully staffed. Feel free to submit and we’ll keep your info at the ready.
The BANG! teacher is patient, knowledgeable, gentle, encouraging, enthusiastic, energetic and outgoing. He or she is an experienced player and teacher. You should have at least two years of private teaching experience. You must have amazing communication skills. BANG! teachers are also highly organized and responsible, honest and trustworthy and love drumming beyond almost all else. In other words, you must be exceptional. We are the number one drum teaching facility in NYC and we only hire the best.
Does this sound like you? If so, you might consider contacting us about teaching.
If you do not have a flexible schedule, this is not for you. The successful teaching candidate, in addition to the qualities listed above, has the ability to work weekdays and weekends (Saturdays and Sundays are important teaching days at our studios, as are weekday evenings–more on that below in the application).
You must be a top-notch drummer (show us video), and you must have significant teaching experience with both adults and children. You must be comfortable teaching both beginning and advanced students, as we have both.
If you are interested in teaching at BANG! The Drum School, fill out the form below (you must complete the entire form; don’t leave anything blank), attach your resume as a PDF, and submit it to us. Please make sure your resume is in the chronological style with dates included. Resumes must include a very detailed work history and all of your education details with the associated dates. Make sure your spelling and grammar are correct everywhere in your application. Our teachers must have top-notch communication skills and your application should reflect that.
Please make sure that you give us links to your playing that show us your stuff. In addition, note that if you don’t have dates on your resume (or don’t submit a resume) we can not consider you for the position. Your resume is required for your application to be complete. Please email your resume on PDF to bangthedrumschool@gmail.com
No phone calls please.
Good Luck! We look forward to hearing from you.
